Hi, I'm Claire!

Welcome to The Health & Wellbeing Haven!

I created The Health & Wellbeing Haven in 2020 witih a long term goal of creating a safe place for my clients to help nurture themselves. Currently in it's infancy I work to empower parents and carers in developing strong mental and emotional health as they navigate their journey.

As a single parent to a young child with ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder and behaviours that place him on the Autism Spectrum, I, with the help of counsellors just like me, developed and nurtured my own tool-kit of resources that help me navigate my unique journey.

It was through these lived experiences and a life-changing encounter where I was able to support someone on their mental health journey through my passion of writing that lead me to the rewarding career of counselling and being able to start my own private practice.

As The Health & Wellbeing continues to grow, so do I. I engage in regular studies and professional development, so watch this space as I continue to learn different ways to foster your mental and emotional health.

My Approach

I always work from a person-centred approach.

Each client is different and while some approaches may be beneficial to many, it is critical for me to work with my clients to create a counselling plan that suits their unique needs, with the non-judgemental respect that each person I meet is the expert of their own life.

I enjoy working with Mindfulness techniques, Expressive, Cognitive Behavioural, Acceptance Commitment and Solution Focused Therapies to help my clients thrive in life.

Our initial appointment will be two hours, with subsequent appointments being one hour each. I offer online and walk & talk sessions for one hour sessions.
